This time it's slightly different. Maybe it's because I've grown up, I don't really fancy stuff like LOADS OF companionship, and I don't want to hold on certain fond memories, hoping I can relive them everytime I visit the island. After all, why are they called memories? Cos they belong to the past.
So I say, every trip to Batam is a brand new experience. I took a ferry to Harbour Bay instead of the usual Batam Centre, and I realise the ferry ride can be shortened to 45min instead of the usual 1hr. Furthermore Harbour Bay is nearer to Evi's house.

We went shopping for 4 days consecutively, sometimes by ourselves, sometimes with Hendra and Ah Hui. Ah Boy was having exams, otherwise we'll have more stories to talk about :) In Batam, you can't go anywhere without a car, cos it seems to be their only mode of transport. So I was quite happy that Evi took the trouble to fetch the brothers before we went out.
There's Seoul Garden in Batam!! For students it's less than sgd10 with free flow of drinks! Although they have lesser variety, we still had chicken, beef, pork, french fries, rice, curry, salad, ice kachang, ice cream etc.

We went to the newest shopping centre called Nagoya Hill! Oh man I had a big shock myself cos it's hard to imagine Batam having such a nice shopping mall with beautiful infrastructure. (the feeling is like Bugis)
In case you didn't know, Batam has cinemas too. One and only I guess. And I had the honour of watching a movie there. You'll never guess it, each ticket costs only about sgd3.50. Plus when it's the weekdays, you practically own the entire theatre. You can throw popcorns everywhere, sit any posture you like, laugh as loud as you want, since there's less than 50 people watching the same show as you.
